Availability and Shipping

Sydney Home Centre (SHC) strives to make sure that the displayed availability of each item on the webpage is accurate. This often proves challenging considering that we have both physical and virtual presence amongst several platforms. We value the customer experience and hence make it a priority to make sure the details are as accurate as possible.

If you require a product urgently, please call to confirm that the product is in stock before placing any orders. Contact us on 97071466 during operating hours, or alternatively send us an email at info@sydneyhomecentre.com.au and we will respond promptly. Please check the contact us pages for information regarding seasonal closures.

Delivery times.  
SHC outsources its deliveries to a courier contractor. Delivery times and dates vary and no accurate delivery date can be given until the order is dispatched (generally items are delivered within 7 working days of dispatch). If an item is an order only item or is out of stock, extra time will be needed before the item is dispatched (generally 3-5 working days).

Pick-up, delivery and bulky goods.

1. Delivery for items under 10 kilograms (this can be a combined order).

Items or groups of items under 10 kilograms which are not considered fragile or bulky will be sent using our courier contractors. Orders over $100.00 will not incur delivery charges for non-bulky or fragile goods. 

2. Pick up of items from the warehouse (this can be a combined order).

Customers are not to pick up online orders unless you have been informed to do so by management. Some items will require ordering or are located at other warehouses and will require extended handling time. Confirm with the staff if the item is in stock before placing urgent orders and attempting to pick up. 

3. Delivery of bulky or fragile goods.

SHC prefers the pick-up of bulky or fragile goods. If you need the items delivered, this can be arranged at the customers expense. (Note: Sydney Home Centre doesn't accept responsibility for any damages caused during the freight of fragile goods. All care is take so that the product is not damaged.) 4. Damages during freight.

SHC does not accept responsibility for any damages caused during freight and it is the consumers responsibility to examine the product upon receiving it. Claims for incomplete goods or damaged goods must be made within 14 days of receiving the goods. See the warranties page for further details.

5. COVID-19 Corona Virus Protocol.

SHC values the safety of the Australian people during this time of uncertainty. We have been exercising precautionary measures to help minimise contact and effectively the transmission of the disease via our staff members. We are currently relying on a skeleton workforce to ensure all orders are processed with most of our staff working from home when possible. This in turn affects the order processing speed and can result in delays in the overall process. Please inquire to ensure you can receive your product within the time you require it. Higher freight costs may be applicable during this time.
